1. Middle Tennessee (4) - Previous rank: 1 The Blue Raiders
have the most consistent body of work so far in the Sun Belt, but they'll
get their most difficult test on Tuesday night against an opponent they
haven't beaten since 2005.
2. Troy - Previous rank: 2 The Trojans typically live
up to the hype on national television. MT vs. Troy may be the league's best
television showcase in its history for a conference game.
3.ULM - Previous rank: 3 The Warhawks
are starting to turn heads as they have jumped out to an early 2-0 record in
conference play. Next Tuesday's nationally televised game against
Arkansas State will be a tough test on just how strong ULM really is.
4. Arkansas State- Previous rank: 4 Arkansas
State looked solid against a nationally ranked Iowa team this past week.
Their conference game next Tuesday at ULM could help the conference title
race start to take shape.
5. Louisiana-Lafayette - Previous rank: 5 ULL had the
week off, but will jump into conference action this week against North Texas
6. FAU - Previous rank: 8
Another week, another game which sees the Owls come up just short. Now
FAU will take a week off to try to regroup.
7. FIU - Previous rank: 6
FIU looked good at times against ULM, but were unable to contain the
Warhawk's running attack. This week's game against WKU will pit two
winless teams against one another.
7. North Texas - Previous rank: 8 After a week off, the Mean
Green start conference play at ULL. This game will make or break their
season.
9. WKU - Previous rank: 9
In the battle of the winless teams, this
game could be WKU's best chance to break into the win column.

the Publishers of the Rivals.com Network Sun Belt Conference sites. Teams
are ranked 1-9, with a team getting 9 points for a first place vote through 1
point for getting a 9th place rank.
