October 29, 2009 MORE: Top games from around the country | Chat with high school football fans for freeWe'll admit it. This is just the latest - but it could be the greatest - high school football highlight this season. You gotta see it! Will Briscoe of Baton Rouge (La.) Central High completed a behind-the-back pass for a two-point conversion in a recent victory over Zachary.
We know what you're thinking - another act of poor sportsmanship. The point can be debated, but realize this: The pass did take place in what would become a 58-0 victory, but it happened in the first quarter, when Central was up, just 13-0. The coach of Zachary, Neil Weiner, is a former Central assistant. And he had no issues with the play in this game story by Charles Salzer in The Advocate newspaper. Briscoe, who scored on a 1-yard run before the two-point pass, finished the game by throwing for 266 yards and five touchdown passes - all coming with a more conventional throwing motion. GOT ONE BETTER? We would love to see it, send it to Ideas@RivalsHigh.com
